Just What IS A "Green Bus Shelter" Anyway?

green.jpg A Friend of the N Judah Chronicles sends us this picture of what is being touted as a "green" MUNI Bus Shelter over in front of the Asian Art Museum.

Apparently the Mayor had a press conference about it yesterday, too. It would appear that they're putting plants on top of a bus shelter or something. I was hoping that perhaps it'd have a light up display powered by industrial hemp, or maybe eco-friendly glass so when the gangs of youth smash the glass it'd be biodegradable, but plants on top are green enough.

I don't have time to go down to the Civic Center and investigate - post a comment if you happen to stop by and see it and tell us what you think!
