Reader Mail: MUNI Fail in Progress?

Reader Alex sent us this note along with a shot of the MUNI tunnel map indicating a potentially failwhale day right now:

IMO, worth posting on the N Judah Chronicles... there's a pretty spectacular frakup in the subway happening now. Pretty serious inbound delays. Trains are running ~15mph from West Portal. Don't know if they're coming in from the Duboce Portal.

Sigh.

But at least they have their track irons back.

Anyone else seeing this? I need to leave the house and go downtown so any advice would be good!

Comments

Pardon the language, but fucking FAIL indeed. Over an hour (2 buses and 2 trains) to get from 9th & Judah to Powell this afternoon, and ninety minutes to get back. No trains were running downtown at Forest Hill, so I ended up back on Judah, waiting for an N. Coming home, every train that stopped at the platform was "out of service."

I should have walked.

Oh, and I get to go back downtown in an hour. Looks like the 6 is the way to go.
